Kokoa Kamili is a social enterprise that works with smallholder cocoa farmers in Tanzania to produce high-quality cocoa beans. The company was founded in 2013 by Brian LoBue and Simran Bindra, who both have backgrounds in international development and a shared passion for improving the livelihoods of farmers in Africa.
Kokoa Kamili works with over 2,500 farmers across six villages in the Kilombero Valley in Tanzania. The company provides training and technical assistance to farmers on best practices for cocoa cultivation and fermentation and offers premium prices for their beans to incentivize quality production.
